We have a couple of unwritten rules when it comes to music criteria for Moga: One, it has to be African. Two, ideally it should be older than us. But as with any rules, there are always exceptions. And from the early days we always made a concession for the Afro inspired music of the Colombian coast.
Shout outs to Soundway and Analog Africa for their compilations that introduced us to the sounds – there’s a nod to them with a couple of the jump up tracks in the mix – but beyond those a gentlemen by the name of Fabian deserves an honorable mention.
