This mix takes its influence from of one our father’s vinyl collections. Oga in Igbo means “man in charge” and in familial terms can be used to refer to the head of the family: or ‘Father’. Sadly when he came to the UK, he left a lot of his musical gems back in Nigeria- records are heavy cargo! Nonetheless we have a few classics present in this mix, alongside some other sounds from other parts of the continent. This is part-one of an ‘All Vinyl Oga mini series’- Stay tuned.
